The Lullwater Estate Activities

The Lullwater Estate has a number of well-attended recurring gatherings throughout the year. These include an annual assembly meeting, spring and fall socials, Board of Directors meetings, and other holiday-themed events.

Annual Meeting

Annual Meeting

The regular annual meeting of the membership of the Association is held during December of each year with the date, hour and place to be set by the Board of Directors. At the annual meeting, comprehensive reports of the affairs, fincances and budget projections of the Association shall be made to the Lot Owners.

"Literary Ladies," the Lullwater Estate Book Club

Women here in our community have probably always lent each other books, or at least recommended them, but a few years ago, some of us decided to form a group to discuss books. We read mostly fiction, like Alice Munro's Pulitzer winner Dear Life, or Muriel Barbery's The Elegance of the Hedgehog, but sometimes non-fiction, especially biographical, as Laura Hillenbrand's Unbroken, or Martin Goldsmith's Inextinguishable Symphony. We've read classics by Faulkner, and modern works by such as Barbara Kingsolver, Anne Tyler, Elizabeth Strout and Annie Proulx. Special interests, like adoption and Alzheimers Disease, or fascinating cultures like Japan and Tudor England, have also been topics of books we've read.

Open to any women living at Lullwater Estate, this group meets monthly in one another's homes, gathering at 3:30 for chatting and snacking, and beginning the book talk at 4:00. Our meetings are usually on Thursdays.

A list of the books we've read in the group can be seen here.

Board of Directors Meetings

The Board of Directors meets monthly except August and December. Meetings minutes are posted on this website under the MEMBERS tab.

Committee Meetings

Lullwater Estate has a number of standing committees that meet regularly to advise the Board of Directors. The committees are as follows: Landscaping, Infrastructure, Media, Social & Welcome, Architectural Control, Woodlands Advisory, and Community Garden. If you want to get involved, this is the best way to start!
